How a Bangalore export works

Sea LCL
Shared container, for smaller cargo- Suits: commercial cargo that can wait for a consolidation sailing.

- Check first: earlier cut-offs and more handling points than FCL.
Sea FCL
Full container, for larger cargo- Suits: heavy or high-volume cargo for one consignee.

Questions about exporting from Bangalore
Is Bangalore a port?
No. Bangalore is an inland city. Air cargo leaves through Kempegowda International Airport (BLR). Sea cargo goes by road or rail to a coastal gateway, most often Chennai or Nhava Sheva, and we choose it per shipment.
Which countries can you export to from Bangalore?

Do you publish fixed freight rates?
No. Freight depends on the cargo, weight, volume, route, season and carrier, so we scope each quote to the shipment. Quotes are sent after we have your details.
What details do I need to request a quote?
The destination city or postcode, what you are shipping, the mode or "not sure", when the cargo is ready, and a way to reach you. Weights and dimensions can be approximate.
What is the difference between air, LCL and FCL?
Air is the fastest and is priced on chargeable weight. LCL is a shared container for smaller cargo. FCL is a full container for one consignee. We compare the options for your shipment.
Do you clear customs in India?
Yes. Sea Air is a Licensed Customs House Agent (Licence No. 11/1999) and files your Shipping Bill and clears the export on its own licence. Import clearance abroad is done by the importer's broker or a destination agent.
Do you arrange cargo insurance?
No. Sea Air does not arrange cargo insurance. Please arrange cover with your own insurer.
